Humans are the Problem

I've mentioned before that I'm typically more sympathetic to the plight of animals than I am the plight of human beings. So when many animals at a zoo in the Ivory Coast die of starvation because of the political upheaval in the nation, I'm more saddened then, say, when the US drops yet another drone bomb on some wedding in Afghanistan that kills dozens of people.

When somebody takes on the responsibility for an animal's care, and they don't do it, then that's just disgusting. Animals in the wild generally don't have easy, stress-free lives, but at least what happens is natural. Letting animals starve to death in cages is just sad.

As Agent Smith said.. humans are a plague.
