The Cowboys took an offensive tackle with the #9 pick over-all in the NFL draft. This is a good move. The team has a lot of talent at the skill positions, but their offensive line is just falling apart as they're aging past 30, with the exception of Doug Free, who played well last year and will continue to play well.
Look for the new guy to play the left side and Free to slide over to the right. That leaves current right tackle, Marc Columbo, trade bait or even riding the pine in a back-up roll.
The Cowboys still need another couple offensive guards in later rounds, but center is not a pressing issue yet. On the other side of the ball, a high priority should be defensive end, hopefully with their next pick. They also need a very good safety, but it's possible they can plug that gap with a free agent.
I'd also be looking for a kicker.
