Stupid as Fuck

40% of Americans think that natural disasters are a result of God's wrath.

So.. not.. kidding.

Then you get the super-Loons that think it's all a sign that Jebus is warming up for a repeat performance.

I suppose.. God (their god) is a massive asshole.. a jackass of biblical proportions (har). And to top it off, these stupid fuckers worship this god that sends the most horrific pain and suffering down on his creations. They actually donate their money to his representatives, and go worship the agent of pain every Sunday.

Any god that would inflict horrific pain and misery is exactly the sort of god that I want "eternal separation" from, as Doug has described "hell". I don't want anything to do with that fucker. In fact, I'd like to see a god war, where the other gods kick the crap out of the asshole god that created us; a play thing that he can murder in the bloodiest ways possible when the mood strikes.. and then actually manages to get us to blame ourselves for it. It's the most extreme case of battered wife syndrome I've ever heard of.

He only hurts us because he loves us.

Most people are complete morons. I mean.. you can take that 40% of Americans and assume, right of the bat, that they are all stupid as fuck. Then, you have to figure at least 20% more are really fucking stupid also. So you end up wondering how the fuck civilized society works.

And then it might dawn on you why wealth is being shifted to the very wealthy. Generally (but not always - see pro sports), wealth migrates to the brighter segments of the population. If you think that the vast majority of the population is dangerously stupid, then you might not want them to also have much power.. and wealth is power.

So, maybe I shouldn't be concerned with the current wealth inequity in the US. Most people are too stupid to know what to do with it anyway. It's starting to make sense.
