Yow

One of the more absurd thing news organizations are doing lately is putting "reader comments" up with news stories. Apparently they are doing this with no moderation.

So.... at Yahoo News;

Sanchez called out Comedy Central host Jon Stewart as a "bigot" for mocking him, and complained that Jews — like Stewart — don't face discrimination. He also suggested that CNN, and perhaps the media industry more broadly, is run by Jews and elitists who look down on Hispanics like himself.

Which, of course, brought out an army of neo-Nazi's in the comments.

Hitler's Army

I hope the Jews are killed in underground German gas chambers.

You have to wonder which idiot thought it would be a hip and trendy thing to allow comments on news stories. I'll bet whoever it is gets paid a fuck-ton of money. And a "fuck-ton" is a lot...

Yep.. Rick Sanchez flips out over Jon Stewart.. who is doing a comedy program. That's the "Liberal media" for you.

You know, of all forms of racisim anti-semitism has always been the most outright strange to me.

Maybe it's just due to a generaly small exposure to Jewish culture in Australia, but my mind genuinely can not fathom actual "Jew Hate". I can normally recognise what might trigger legitimate forms of racism in some people, but hate for Jewish people completely eludes me.

Wait.. what?

legitimate forms of racism

Yeah... I could have worded that better. I'm referring to a person who feels genuine racial prejudice, not South Park style stereotyping for comedic effect.
