Week 8

As predicted, the Cowboys are 5-2. They played another solid game... very few mistakes, and good decisions from Romo. Miles Austin had a nice game, but probably more like what we'll see from him going forward as opposed to the ridiculous games he's had the last few weeks. Roy Williams was a non-factor again as well.

Oh.. hey.. not one single bad penalty on the offensive line. No false starts. No holding calls, erasing big plays. Just a well rounded game from the group, and the defense, after a shaky first series, was very good. Add in another punt return for touchdown and the Cowboys will win every game they play like that.

I still don't understand some things though. Some pass plays the receiver goes one way, Romo throws another. At this point, it's on the offensive coordinator if the players don't know the play. And what was that call on first and ten at the nine, with eight something minutes left in the game? A pass play, and Romo fumbles? Why was he passing in the first place? If I were Jerry Jones, I'd be livid.

Next up is Philly. That's a huge game and will be a measuring stick for the rest of the season. Are the Cowboys from the last few weeks the real deal, or are they just getting lucky? We'll see.

....

On Saturday morning, we went to this car show thing a local dealer does every last Saturday of the month. It's like an enthusiast get-together. There were a number of GTRs there. I know that if I'm going to buy a new car, I need to be reasonable about it (a Z is reasonable), but I wanted to go buy a GTR right then and there.

Mate of mine was in a Nissan club for a while with his R32 GTS-T.

They did that kind of stuff.

This was held at a massive BMW dealer here in town, and includes pretty much every make of super car. There was a white turbo 997 there that was just butter, and even a Carrera GT. Also saw a bunch of lambos and vettes, inclouding a ZR1. Also lots of classic super cars, like a Magnum PI Ferrari.

What they usually have a few of but not that day was an R8. I was hoping to get a look at the interrior.

One of the Z06's license plate was "GTR LOL". I lol'd.
