It was a good weekend of football. The Cowboys played well enough to win, but they need to step it up on defense. The game could have been much different if the Buc's had taken advantage of their running game dominance. There wasn't much pressure on the quarterback until the 2nd half where the defense knew they had to pass to try and catch up.
The offense had 3 long TD passes, and the worrying thing is that you can't count on that every week. They're normally good at methodically moving the ball.
The special teams played really well, which was quite a difference from last year. They just had penalties at the wrong time. I said at the time, and I still think it's true. Cut Flozel Adams. He's too big to defend against quick, agile pass rushers and is the most penalized player in the game. He's going to cost the team.
The MNF games were fun to watch as well, coming down to the wire. Boo hoo for Terrel Owens and the Bills.. and it was surprising to see the Raiders not get rocked.
Next up for the 'Boys is the big game Sunday night vs. the Giants. Eli Manning has to be the most over-rated player in the game. I'm looking forward to him getting smooshed into a puddle.
