These police things on teevee are very strange to me. Why on earth would family members of murder victims appear at a news conference with the cops 5 days after their parents were killed?
People are very, very strange.
It's also weird the way the police are so self congratulatory. They read off the names of cops who, apparently, had some hand in catching the killers.. as if it's the cast of a movie.
As if anybody gives a fuck what the names of the cops are.
As if the cops are super heroes, rather than people just doing their jobs.
....
There are people murdered every single day, in many different places, in this country. I'm starting to get the method behind which ones end up on the teevee.
In this case, the couple that was murdered adopted something like a dozen "special needs" children. No doubt.. a very noble endeavor.. but there are countless murder victims, each with their own stories and humanity. The teevee only cares about the obviously unusual.
Personally.. if I were in charge of the teevee.. none of them would be covered... ever.
