Taxes

The Republicans forced through a $15,000 tax write-off for buying a house. It doesn't have to be your first house.

Ohhhh.. nicccceeeee

John owns something like 6 properties. I could buy them all this year, and get a 6 x $15,000 tax write-off... That's a $90,000 write-off.

Next year, I could sell the 6 properties to John so he gets the $90,000 write-off.

Paul Krugman calls that the "affluent house flipping program".

Then, we take the money we save on taxes.. and buy more properties, and then sell them to each other back and forth... until we don't have to pay any taxes at all.

As Leona Helmsley said.. taxes are for the little people.. right?
