Smell the Freedom

The cost of this bill, frankly, is high but it's a price for freedom. And I don't think you can put a price on freedom and security in our country.

I've been saying for a while, that Republicans are scumbags.. whose only purpose is to increase the class gap.

Killing Iraqis? 3 trillion dollars. Defense spending? 2 trillion dollars. Trying to keep Americans from losing everything.. from dying the slow death of economic collapse? Well.. Republicans want nothing to do with that.

I'm trying to get somebody to explain it. Killing hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis is well worth spending 3 times the money the Democrats propose for trying to avert economic catastrophe?

The numbers speak for themselves.. and I'm continually amazed that the Republicans have anything to say about.. anything.

They are fail.

Meanwhile.. the truly stupid.. the Doug Gibbs of the world.. can only froth about "punishing the rich".

Is there any doubt that they are the stupidest people on the planet?

Maybe they should just go up to the Montana compound and stockpile some assault rifles.. while waiting for Jesus to return.

Hardball is reporting that the new bill is 42% tax cuts now and 58% spending, which is considered a big win for Republicans.

And they are still fighting it.

And when it finally comes to the floor, they won't vote for it anyway.

That's how a truly ruthless opposition party works. They ruin the legislation, are lauded as winners for ruining the legislation and then vote against the legislation that they ruined. Awesome.

But, the plan will pass and that means the American people will at least win something, if not enough.

I don't think the Democrats won much politically, and lost quite a bit by allowing the Republicans to seize the debate. But at least they didn't have a bunch of Dem defectors, which can happen "like that" with the Timorous Ones when the GOP gets its hissy on.

One consolation in this.. is that perhaps Obama has seen what happens when he tries to include the Republicans in the debate.

He won a landslide.. has very good approval numbers. He needs to be ruthless in his attack.. to gut them.. to exclude them from every policy debate.. to not allow them to have any input into anything..

It's time for him to put aside this silly notion of bi-partisanship.. because it's a myth. He needs to kick them in the balls so hard, they never walk again.

KBR is a subsidiary of Halliburton.. Dick Cheney's company. That's what this is all about. Iraq is meaningless. Afghanistan is meaningless.. waterboarding.. torture.. rendition.. housing bubbles.. all meaningless. Eisenhower told us what was going to happen, and very few remember.

I'm still waiting to see what happens with Obama.. If he fails to destroy them, it may get ugly.
