Teh Loon Attacks

Pretty funny.. Doug approved the comment I left for him on the sins of society causing eating disorders in women. Again, his post is here, and my post is a few down from here. If you give a shit, clink the link to his post and read the comments.

The amusing thing is the classic Gibbs tactic of sometimes approving a comment, then making some absurd claim, and then deleting off my response so his readers won't see what a liar he is.

Fortunately, I save a copy of each one.. LOL

The funny thing here, is that Doug makes a claim that he never said that Obama was born in Kenya. I spent 30 seconds with google to find where he did.. included that in the comment, and because I've once again proven him to be a colossal liar, he deleted it.

He's the greatest thing EVAR!

I've explained it many times why I frequently reference you. It's because it's a stark contrast, and you help me tremendously make my point. There is no other Conservative writer that does it so well. Should I argue with George Will?

The whole point of this is to make an argument, and it's amazing the way you keep accusing me of not understanding your point when I always go to great lengths to link and quote exactly what you wrote, as I did on my blog with this issue. Your style (and I'm repeating myself I know) is to simply paraphrase other people's points and argue against straw men, and somehow to you, that's a better, more fair way to argue. I can't fathom how you can think that.

In this case, in your post, you wrote (quoting YOU)

Is it a symptom of scrambled standards and lost principles? Has the onslaught against values brought us to this?

Now look at that in the context of what I wrote, criticizing you for again linking some cultural issue to a decline in the morals of our society. Those are you words Doug. You wrote "scrambled standards", "lost principles", "onslaught against values". Those are your words.

As for the birth certificate issue, I defy you to show me anywhere that I claimed you "think Obama was born in Kenya". You won't find it, because your interest is not in the written word, but rather the impression. Here, I'll help you. Stick this in a Google search, and see for yourself that I never, not once, said such a thing.

But hey.. you never said you thought Obama was born in Kenya, right? What you should do is that google search on your blog. Here's what you wrote on Dec. 8, 08.

On July 20th, based on data received on Atlas Shrugs and Texas Darlin', I wrote that I believed Barack Obama may have not been born in the United States and that the Birth Certificate provided for all to view on the Daily KOS looked to be a forgery.

That's what YOU wrote Doug. You claim that you never said Obama was born in Kenya, and there it is.. there's the words, and it wasn't just that one post. Over and over and over again, you wrote about the "forgery", with the clear implication that Obama was born in Kenya. That fake birth certificate issue is just some Area 51 conspiracy theory. He has an official birth certificate, Hawaii officials confirmed it's authenticity, and it shows he was born in Honolulu. I criticized you for the totally unfounded, baseless accusations, and I stand behind every word I wrote.

It's unreal that you claim you never said something, and it took me 1 minute to find on your blog where you did.

I don't know why you threw other non-sequitors like Creationism, or the "poor people" thing (which I can substantiate with your writing again). You clearly have an issue with the way I argue. I happen to do it the way most people do, arguing against exactly what you wrote. It's up to my readers to decide who has the more persuasive argument, or just who is making more sense. I don't hide behind paraphrasing, refusing to quote or link. I don't delete comments. I'm not afraid to engage in a direct debate. You're more than welcome to pick apart something I wrote and make your case, but you won't. That's not your thing. You want to write essays and have everyone think it's great, and not take exception to it?

Well, like I said, I write a primarily political blog. I happen to think you're completely wrong on most every issue, and as I make the case for a Liberal policy, I have no better friend than you for making that case. Call it an "obsession" if you want. Think I'm nitpicking each and everything thing. That's fine. But it's my public blog, and as long as your blog is public, I'll lift (copy/paste) your exact words and argue against them. I'm sorry you think that's an unfair, or underhanded thing to do, but it is impossible, by definition, for YOU to be taken "out of context", when it's your exact words I'm using. You know? Using your exact words is THE definition of context. Stop blaming me if what you wrote is not what you meant.

And finally, what's with Ballbuster? He adds nothing, types in all caps, makes silly sexual innuendo, but that's just fine to approve, isn't it? But my stuff.. when I spend time doing research (like the "bonus bill" Madison veto). You simply delete it off.. and like I said, that's fine, your blog, do what you want. But my blog, I do what I want.. and I like quoting you. It's as simple as that.

And the bottom line is, I enjoy it, and that's the biggest reason why I blog. Call me clinical, I'm having a blast, and I'll be highly disappointed if you ever give it up.
