It makes me crazy....

Joe Lieberman is on my teevee, questioning Robert Gates. How long has Gates been in his job? When is Liberman's term up, and why hasn't all his committee assignments been stripped?

MSNBC has the parent of a 9/11 victim, outraged and emotional. He just called closing Gitmo a "travesty of justice".

He thinks, and the talking head is not correcting him, that the "self-admitted" terrorists are going to be set free.

Look, this is pretty simple. You can't simply detain people forever with no judicial review. That has never been done in the history of the United States. Those prisoners will be prosecuted, and if they are guilty of crimes, there will be evidence. They will be appropriately punished with confinement for what they've done. If they just happened to be a taxi driver that got caught up in some mistaken detainment, they'll be sent back to their homes.. which is as it should be. And there have been innocent people caught up in this mess, and then let go.

There are quite a few terrorists already being held in Federal prisons in the United States. They were prosecuted in Federal courts, and they will never see the light of day again.

It really pisses me off that adhering to the rule of law is somehow "appeasing terrorists".. or "weak". The right wing fuckers are advocating the destruction of our way of life by throwing away our laws.. pissing themselves in fear..

And the understandably emotional families of 9/11 victims need to be told what's really going on, so they stop going on the teevee to spread lies and innuendo without being confronted with the truth.

All these years, the media lying and ignoring the truth when Bush was shredding the Constitution.. and now lying and ignoring the truth when Obama tries to piece it back together.

Alright.. I have no problem with Gates being questioned by members of Congress. That's their job.. but Joe Lieberman? Fuck him.. asshole
