I don't have a link, because I just heard it on my teevee.. but an early policy proposal from Obama is going to be lifting the ban on gays in the military.

While talking about service on board submarines, Chris Matthews just said;

It doesn't take away from the need to have a strong thrust.

I did not make that up.. I swear..

The problem I have with the talking heads when they're debating that issue, is that they never make reference to every other large western military that has no such prohibition. The English.. the French.. the Germans.. even the Israelis.. do NOT have any such rule, and they have no problem with it.

I think Obama proposes ending DOMA in his second or third year. It's a bit more controversial and he'll need to be well established to ram it through Congress.

Just heard on my teevee (Keith Olberman) that the "bail out" monies that were supposed to be used to fix "toxic mortgages" are instead being used to create more toxic mortgages.
