Republican National Committee Chairman Mike Duncan issued a statement Saturday distancing the party’s leadership from one of the GOP’s best-known operatives, Chip Saltsman, who distributed a CD containing “Barack the Magic Negro” as part of his campaign to be elected chairman of the Republican National Committee next month.

Duncan, who has served the campaigns of five presidents dating back to Richard Nixon, is seeking reelection as the party’s 60th chairman in a hotly contested race that includes Saltsman and several other viable candidates.

“Paul Shanklin is a longtime friend, and I think that RNC members have the good humor and good sense to recognize that his songs for the Rush Limbaugh show are light-hearted political parodies,” Saltsman told The Hill.

Saltsman’s candidacy for national party chair is endorsed by Huckabee and fellow Tennessean Bill Frist, the former Senate majority leader.

I wonder if President Obama.. if black Americans in general.. will find it "light-hearted".

I've always wondered what sort of self-loathing a black person would have to have in order to be a Republican, exactly the same sort of way I've wondered why a gay person would be a Republican.

I suppose it goes without saying that all the gay Republicans I've known have a whole lot of money.. the same with the black ones I suppose.. and they want to continue to be on the receiving side of the "redistribution of wealth".

I hope that jackass becomes RNC chair.. just like I hope a bunch of Doug Gibbs clones take over the party leadership. They'll never win back the Congress nor the Presidency..

In the meantime.. President Obama can start a great public works campaign.. putting a lot of people to work.. building my dream wall around Utah.. and then we can round up the Loon Brigade and keep them all in one place.

After all.. we're Secular Humanistas.. and all we want is to "eliminate" all the Christians.. LOL
