"We've staid-off bankruptcy, but just barely," says Mrs. du Toit. "The truth is, we spoke to an attorney about bankruptcy, but we'd be forced into a two year commitment of repayment, not debt forgiveness, and the kid's college would be the expense we'd have to stop under that scenario."It kind of reminds me of "Joe the Plumber" bitching about "spreading the wealth around", right after admitting his family was on welfare a few times.
Such are the terms of the Bankruptcy Bill supported and voted for by John McCain, whom Kim du Toit supported against the wealth-redistributionist he calls "The Black Stalin."
I think there should be a separate designation for The Loon Brigade.. where they could not benefit from any governmental program that they've bitched about for eons.

Doug has written some of the dumbest shit I've ever seen over the weekend. I wonder if I should give it the usual "Doug is the dumbest human being on the planet" treatment, or just ignore it. He really is taking stupid to an all new level - but I guess it really doesn't matter anymore. It's not up to me to help him understand how fundamentally insane he is.
One example;
Sarah Palin did not hurt the GOP ticket as the mainstream media is reporting. I believe she actually helped the ticket. Without Sarah Palin, the conservative base, or at least portions of it, would not have been energized as it was. She was actually drawing crowds larger than John McCain, for God's sake.I suppose it goes without saying that the "conservative base" had no other choice, but to vote for McCain. That Palin scared the piss out of the rest of the nation is the real issue, and was a contributing factor in the election outcome.
It also says a lot that the "Conservative base" was so enamoured with Palin. It's a true indictment of their ideology. Doug is arguing that being a Jebus freak is far more important than the usual qualifications of elective office. Even beyond that, they celebrate ignorance. It's a virtue, you know!

I responded to a comment on this post, and then deleted off the comment. As it stands, it looks like my comment was a response to the first comment that somebody left. It is not.. It was directed at the 2nd comment which I subsequently deleted off.
I know.. clear as mud.

To be honest, I find the whole "did Palin help or hurt?" question a bit tough to call.
There's no doubt that she convinced plenty of people that a vote for McCain was just not safe.
But sure, she DID "energize the base", didn't she? And it's not really true that the base had no other choice but to vote for McCain - they could have stayed home. Isn't making sure as many of your supporters as possible are motivated to get out and vote a huge part of campaigning in a country with non-compulsory voting?
On second thought... I just deleted the whole comment off.. it was bullshit, had nothing to do with the point I was making, and the embedded link was non-functional.
I say let them think Palin the future of the Republican party; if they want someone only slightly less retarded than Bush to represent them in 2012, I say go for it. It will only dig them into a deeper hole.
Ya.. Huckabee/Palin 2012 is Winnar!
