Democrats were pretty upset about the 2000 Presidential election.. to say the least. Bush ultimately drove this country into a huge shit pile, and didn't bother to bring any air freshener.
Democrats stared in disbelief that it happened again in 2004.
If Gore had won in 2000, who would have been the Democratic candidate for President in '08? His VP, Joe Fucking Lieberman.
If Kerry had won in 2004, we'd have him running for re-election in '08 with a womanizer as his VP.. and likely a shitty economy to boot.. and BAM, McCain wins the election.
Sure.. losing in 2000 and 2004 sucked. It's the price that had to be paid to expose Conservatism as a failed ideology and pave the way for an entirely new brand of politics in America.
Seems it was all for the best after all.
