Nuts are Nuts

NEW YORK - Big corporations give him money. Presidential candidates seek his endorsement. He has influential friends in Congress and the governor's mansion. The Rev. Al Sharpton has emerged over the past decade as perhaps the nation's most prominent civil rights leader, a status that was demonstrated again this week when he led protests against police brutality that briefly shut down six of Manhattan's major bridges and tunnels.

But he still carries baggage from his early days as a fire-breathing agitator: Government records obtained by The Associated Press indicate that Sharpton and his business entities owe nearly $1.5 million in overdue taxes and associated penalties.

Now the U.S. attorney is investigating his nonprofit group, a probe that an undeterred Sharpton brushes off as the kind of annoyance that civil rights figures have come to expect from the government.

"Whatever retaliation they do on me, we never stop," he told the AP. "I think that that is why they try to intimidate us."
It seems to me that all-too-often, liberals give left wing lunatics a pass.. just because they are left wingers.

There is very little difference between Al Sharpton & Rev. Wright & Jesse Jackson, versus John Hagee & Pat Robertson. All of them are narcissistic freaks who make every issue all about them.

Sharpton thinks the government is trying to "intimidate" him because..? He doesn't say.. Could it be because he's breaking the law? Maybe?

Notice, also, how Sharpton frames it. He says "they try to intimidate us", when the issue isn't "us", it's him. Sharpton is trying to get his followers to see an "attack" on him by the fed as an attack on everyone. It's not. If he breaks the law, he pays the price, just like everyone else.

This is simply another religious issue. Sharpton doesn't care about God or Jesus. Sharpton cares about Sharpton, just as Rev. Wright was all over cable news, holding press conferences and so on. He wasn't doing that because of Barack Obama. He was doing that to get his name and his face on teevee.

And they all do it so they can make more money. That is what their religion is all about. That's why they scream racism at every turn. It's not about race - it's all about money.

I really don't like them one little bit and I wish they had no standing in the community to act as spokesmen for everybody else.. just because they say they are the spokesmen, doesn't mean they are, or should be.

They make us look bad.
