Going to see Rush next Friday.. with our friend who is one of those dastardly science type people.. who is actually a medical doctor.. quite good at it.. and *gasp* he's gay.. because he must have woken up one day and decided that being gay is a "choice".. or a "lifestyle".. just like Doug sez.. coz you know.. Doug can never be completely full of shit...
The best part about the video is the end... I am the axe.
you seem to think that the military separation and VA are hand in hand. . . as I stated in the post, if less than 30% disability, the military will give a severence package, not a monthly check. . . when I was discharged the VA would only change it to a monthly amount if the disability is 30% or greater AND service connected. Apparently, VA has changed their rules, but the military has not - so we are both partially correct . . . http://usmilitary.about.com/od/theorderlyroom/a/medseparation_2.htm second paragraph
The post this is in reference to is the preceeding one.. but whatever..
And no.. we are not "both partially correct".
Doug sez;
So, with an error like this in the article, I wonder how many other untruths there are in it.
The article referenced states;
In September 2004, he was given an honorable discharge and the Department of Veterans Affairs determined that he was 10 percent disabled, enabling him to receive $120 a month for the rest of his life.
And I linked to an article that coraborates that 10% disabled is worth $117 a month.. Apparently the difference of 3 dollars a month is the where you are coming up with the "untruth"... right?
I call you stupid a lot Doug.. because it's all right there in black and white.. the article says VA disability.. you said the article was wrong.. I showed it was correct.. and now you still don't get it.
This "military seperation" thing is stuck in your head, but NOBODY said anything about that.. it's not referenced in the article.. it has nothing to do with the soldiers monthly disability benefit.
Read the article again.. see where it says "Department of Veterans Affairs determined" in the second paragraph. Then.. read it again.. read that part about the 10% disability..
I can't believe I'm wasting all this time with your inability to read.
I am hating on you right now dear bro. I can't get anyone to go with me. All I hear is "they were just here". So??? You can't see a great artist more than once a year??? I will be sitting at home with my IPod in my ears and listening to what I believe they will be playing. Unfortunately, it's not the same as a live show. Have Fun!!
Oh thanks, now you tell me. If you had said something a week ago, then maybe. It's too short a notice and I have Kale this weekend. But you guys have a great time. Maybe next year I will make it to Dallas.
