I'll Tell You Why

Oh, and an added note, Liberals constantly accuse Conservatives of being hate-mongers. If that is so, then why is it whenever a Liberal visits a Conservative site, or when they refer to conservatives as my good buddy, Tom, does, they use profanity or name calling as their primary tool? Example? The first comment to my Aftermath post by someone named Kevin Sims said, "Nutcase."
Who else?

My "primary tool", as you call it, is simply highlighting what you've written. You make a big enough jackass of yourself on your own..

I'm not sure how many times I have to write this before stupid fucks like Doug clue in.. but here's the deal with the profanity.

It is a word.. it has no real destructive force beyond what we give it. It is not a gun.. or a knife.. it is not a bitch slap.. or a kick in the nuts. It is not an idea, or a mood, or an emotion.

It is a word... and it seems to me that it's rather odd that you can use other words to describe the exact same thing, but not a few certain words. People can "make love". Ya? They're fucking. It's the same thing. Somewhere along the line, somebody decided that certain words were "profane". That's silly. Words are profane because some asshole said so? Fuck that.

I like to use the occasional profanity because I'm sort of the "anti-conservative" type. I enjoy doing things that are more or less the opposite of what the so-called "values" type people do. I find it hysterical that they are obsessed with a handful of "dirty" words, as if the word FUCK is going to give them cancer. It also demonstrates this really skewed sense of morality. Words themselves have no moral meaning. It's ideas that have meaning, and therefore can be moral or immoral.

Context is rather important however. I wouldn't use the word "fuck" in a business e-mail for example... because everyone needs to follow the rules of behavior in that setting. Outside of work, I choose to speak or write as I wish, and if somebody doesn't like it.. well, they are welcome to fuck off. That's the great part about a free society.

As for the "name calling", I've mentioned this before.. but Doug casually, and routinely, calls millions of Americans "anti-American", "anti-Military", "communists", "marxists", "socialists", and on and on. On the "vile" scale, that ranks really damn high. Me calling him a fucking freak is tame by comparison. I call them "assholes" and so on, quite routinely.. because they are assholes... but I would never stoop to the sewer that Doug and his ilk wallow in.

Conservatives are "hate mongers" - but it has nothing to do at all with name-calling. It has everything to do with policy.

So.. I don't fucking care if you have this weird issue with words. That's your problem. Here's an idea.. why don't you worry about your own fucking life.. and stop trying to foist your bullshit on everyone else... asshole.
