Our culture is dead. Americans take their advice on matters of morality and legality from any moron they see on TV, so long as their hair, suits and glasses fit within certain accepted norms. - kosIt goes without saying that the vast majority of Americans are really fucking stupid. The question is, is it a trend? The media used to be Walter Cronkite. Today it's Tim Russert asking Dennis Kucinich if he believes in UFO's at a presidential debate.
I watch more cable news then is healthy, and it truly is an abject horror beyond all comprehension. Is cable news dumbing down American, or are Americans forcing cable news to be that vapid because of advertising dollars?
And I despise the human propensity to give more credibility to a clean cut middle aged white guy in a suit, or a blonde bimbo who can barely read a teleprompter.
Of course.. the problem is sex. People care more about that which they want to fuck.. again, that's the reason why only young white women get air time when they go missing.. and that extends to issues of credibility in the media.
It disgusts me how vapid humanity in general is.

Maybe this is because I'm not one of those people that thinks Cheryl Crow is an expert on climate change, but I can't see the jump between "I'd like to get her in the sack and fuck her silly" and "I'd like to get her in the sack and ask her about the middle eastern peace process."

So far in my life, I have yet to be disappointed by the failings of the general public... The white public.
It is my observation that the only reason white people are in charge is that they have more guns (originally it could be said they had all the guns, but times have changed). There is nothing to distinguish whites above any other sector or, if you prefer, race. The simple fact is that the WASP society of the US simply killed or threatened to kill all who opposed them.
When you can murder your opposition you don't have to be smart, just a good shot.
As for sex, well, there again WASPishness is the root of the problem. All the white people who came here were nut cases that the Europeans decided to send away. These fine folk have a very strange love/hate relationship to sex. They lust for it, but flog themselves mentally because they lust for it.
So now we have people that want to be President talking about UFO's when the national debt is growing expotentially. Social Security is in the toilet. The middle class of the last half of the 20th century is being destroyed and fundamentalism and neo-consertatives are worshiped by the very people that hold the boot to their necks.
Enlightening? If you call peeing yourself over the Islamic boogeyman enlightening I guess..
He just suddenly disappeared without posting a word. Doug insists it's because he joined the military, but I think that's total horseshit.. if he had, he'd have done like Rick and made mention of it... not to mention that he had lied about joining the military previously... plus military guys can access the internet and he would have posted about his enlistment.
I think he either went to jail, or had something bad happen suddenly. Both are very unfortunate.
