I wrote about the exact same thing not too long ago, quoting Doug;

"Do you really think that Islamic Terrorists can actually just do everything that Ahmadinejad is threatening?"
Absolutely, unless we do something to stop it.

Of course, over at the Right Wing Loon blog of truth, my inner-loon is not afraid to say what needs to be done. I'm no coward like Doug. I don't just say "something".. I say it in no uncertain terms.

Although.. I do have to give Doug credit for nearly going there;

From the beginning we should have gone in with guns blazing, destroyed a few cities, turned some sand to glass, allowed for collateral damage, and showed the world that if you screw with the United States your nation is going to suffer.

That is a great example of what Greenwald is talking about.

And as we all know by now.. in the mind of the Great American Right Wing Loon, it makes perfect sense when they read that type of shit. Remember - it's a biological condition, and there's nothing they can do about it. It all makes perfect sense to them to just say "DO SOMETHING?!?!"

Greenwald concludes with;

Why do Democrats have such a "striking lack of concern for the reputation and honor of the American military"? Why are war opponents attacking "the military up and down the line"? Do they hate the military? Are they anti-American? Are they rooting for the Terrorists to win? The swaggering Commander-in-Chief and his resolute warrior-followers will never say. They lack the courage to say what they imply. They constantly opt instead to argue by unstated implications and lurking innuendo and smears. Whatever else that might be, courageous and resolute it isn't.

That is Douglas V. Gibbs and his loon brigade in a nutshell. He does it virtually every single day. And that's reason #3215 why Doug is a vile son of a bitch.
