Video of the Day

Listen to Dick Cheney discuss why invading Iraq would be a bad idea.

It truly is a remarkable piece of video. Cheney is prophetic, and every scenario that he described has come to pass... every last one of them. Does anybody need any more reason to impeach both him and Bush? It is vital.

Then, you have to ask yourself the question.. why invade? Why did we invade and occupy Iraq? It was 9/11, right? Yet, Iraq and Saddam Hussein had nothing to do with 9/11. The answer is clear. 9/11, genuine or staged, was used as a pretext to enrich bankers and the defense contractors. It is a never-ending pit used to bleed us dry and strip our civil liberties.

I'm watching MSNBC, and Chris Matthews was discussing Rudi Giuliani's proposal for immigration reform. He wants all persons born outside the United States to carry a national ID card, with embedded RFID chips that cannot be forged. The idea is that the "authorities" would be able to instantly know if a person is in this country legally or not.

Matthews took issue with Giuliani's proposal. Instead of just foreign born people carrying the card, he wants ALL people in America to carry the card.

How are these fuckers even able to propose such an act? Fear. They've got you freaked out that the dirty Mexicans are going to take your jobs, abuse your social systems, and destroy our nation. That is a complete and total lie, and the right wing eats it up like ice cream and begs for more.

The most common counter-argument I hear to these "Big Brother" policies is that if a person is not doing anything wrong, they have nothing to worry about.

And it saddens me that people are that fucking stupid.

It is clearly vital that we have a Democratically controlled government that is held to account by the liberal grass roots population in this country. If anybody dares trying to touch our civil liberties, or dares to try to make the Patriot Act permanent, we simply Lieberman them.

And it's about fucking time we figure out what the fuck is going on with the voting machines and get that shit fixed ASAP.
