Song of the Day

John and I are heading off to Phoenix (hot!) tomorrow to go to the Rush concert with a couple of my sisters and friends. We've got fabbbulous seats and a limo. We're complete snobs.. I won't be posting again until next week.

I suppose it's ironic that we support rolling back Bush's tax cuts for the "wealthiest" Americans, when John is in that income bracket and the tax cuts pay for shit like this.. It's like free vacations for people with money... and the poor slobs working construction jobs (i.e. Doug) support that, when they get no benefit from it at all. It boggles the imagination.

Since we're going to hell on Earth (temperature wise), the Song of the Day is Rush's By-Tor and the Snow Dog, from 1975.

The battle's over
And the dust is clearing
Disciples of the Snow Dog sound the knell
Rejoicing echoes
As the dawn is nearing
By-Tor in defeat
Retreats to Hell
Snow Dog is victorious
The land of the Overworld
Is saved again
