Doug wonders why I seem to fixate on him. It's because of the most brilliantly stupid shit I've ever seen written on a blog. Lets get started, coz this shit is just crazy as fuck. I love it.

Being disbarred for such an evil act (and yes, when you ruin these boys lives, or at least screw up their lives during this trial period and could have ruined their lives forever, because of narcissistic reasons, the word "evil" is appropriate) is hardly a just punishment for Nifong. The player's defense attorney will seek criminal contempt charges next week, and a federal rights investigation that could lead to putting this jerk in prison for a long time is not out of line. He deserves the full penalty of law.

I read that and thought.. "oh my god.. I'm agreeing with Doug on something. That was a totally egregious abuse of power, and violation of the rule of law". Then in the very next paragraph, Doug writes;

This is a lesson for today regarding the war against terrorism, as well. Those who fail to acknowledge that there is evil out there, and that it needs to be dealt with in an aggressive manner, fail to recognize the true danger of letting evil off the hook. They wish to appease evil, characterizing it as a social problem, finding such activities to be the result of hard times, or childhood abuse, or whatever.

I shit you not. He somehow tries to create a link between a disbarred attorney that committed grave prosecutorial misconduct, and the "war on terror". Doug is on record as having said the "war on terror" is actually a "war on Islam", so it's no surprise that he tries to assert that the "war on terror" is as obvious as Nifong's misconduct.

Let me draw a parallel argument. My car is gray, has formed leather seats and a navigation system. Therefore, we need to recognize the evil heart of Iran and drop nuclear weapons on their cities. It's obvious.

Doug offers much insight into the way his mind works to join, and at other times disconnect, unrelated issues, stating his opinion as an obvious truth that everyone else should understand.

Such a dismissal of evil is desensitizing this nation, enabling people to lose their appreciation for individual worth.

Because the rest of us are not peeing ourselves in fear of the boogeyman; because we do not have this irrational fear; because we recognize the problem is one of complexity; we lose our "appreciation for individual worth"? Say what? I sometimes refer to Doug as "incoherent". That's a perfect example.

It should be obvious that non-sociopathic human beings value self worth. That's especially true of liberals. Doug, by contrast, constantly tries to create separations in groups of people so he can belittle and denigrate them. His screeds about gays and Muslims are perfect examples. His only "worth" is for white Christian conservatives.

Liberals claim that the parallels between Islamism and Nazi Germany do not exist. Perhaps they are right. In fact, they are correct. Islamism is nothing like Nazism. If is far worse, and far more dangerous to our liberty and way of life.

Uh.. that's really fucking loony. Nazi Germany had occupied most of Western Europe including France, attacked Russia, attacked England. They killed at least 6 million Jews and were responsible for the killing of millions more.

Islamic fundamentalism is "more dangerous" than that? That's just simply out-of-your-mind fucking crazy. It's really not a surprise though. Again, this is about Doug's "war on Islam" and in that war, he wants Islam destroyed.

Appeasement failed when Chamberlain negotiated with Hitler, and history demands that we never forget what happens when we lay down our arms and refuse to understand the nature of our enemy.

Doug prefers a perpetual state of warfare apparently. None of us are suggesting that we "lay down our arms". In fact, liberals supported the Afghanistan campaign and wished that instead of getting distracted into Iraq (which had nothing to do with 9/11), we would have focused our energies there. Stabilizing Afghanistan would have been the smart thing to do, instead of invading Iraq and subsequently botching both theatres.

Liberals wish to apologize to the enemy, and make concessions for them.

They minimize, deny, and discredit the factual atrocities and oppression caused by this new enemy.

They forget that when it came to defeating the Nazis, and Soviet Russia, it took an American commitment to freedom to defeat these foes. America, and the free world, prevailed because of their willingness to confront the enemy, despite the liberal opposition and obstruction. Men like Roosevelt and Reagan had a basic faith in America and the freedom she represents.

Roosevelt was a raging liberal by the way.. but as John Edwards describes "bumper sticker slogans", that's all Doug talks in. His screed is propaganda with no substance.

The liberal idea is that the "war on terrorism" has to be fought in a smart way - not botched military campaigns that had nothing do with the the "war on terror" in the first place. To Doug, the only solution is more bombing, more killing, and years of death and destruction. That is his only solution, and he has never suggested any other alternative.

Now, the Democratic Congress would rather pull our troops off of the battlefield during the fight, degenerating this nation into a spirit of pessimism and defeat.

Actually, the vast majority of Americans favor that course, not just the Democratic Congress. Additionally, many "conservatives" such as George Will also advocate it. It's pretty much just the 101st Fighting Keyboard Brigade that is left cheering on the war.

In Doug's mind, it's better to stay indefinitely in an unwinnable situation then to get the hell out. Doug would prefer that our troops still be in Vietnam, killing and dying for the "just cause".

They blame America for the evil out there.

No we don't. We blame idiots like you, who have no fucking clue how to handle anything other than to blow it the fuck up. You are NOT America Doug. Your ideology is not America's ideology.. So stop fucking claiming that shit.

They are right on one point. We are guilty of moral lapses, but not from the kind of secular morality they offer, but from the Judeo-Christian moral values this nation was founded and built upon.

How the fuck can you still claim that? You're fucking lying, over and over. You have not a shred of evidence. It is well established by the Constitution and every single fucking SCOTUS decision that the American government is SECULAR. Why do you keep claiming that patent falsehood? You can shove your "values" up your ass Doug, because every shred of measurable data supports the superiority of secular liberalism, from education, to divorce rates, to crime statistics, and on and on.

Undermining our moral vision, and failing to recognize evil when it is staring us in the face, has aided the United States in losing its ability to make moral arguments against evil.

No, the right wing destruction of the rule of law, and torturing prisoners has done that.

Most everyone that has an identifiable ethnic heritage respects and honors that heritage, regardless of it's origin. Most people wouldn't see that as a conflict with identifying as an American citizen.

Islamism wishes to destroy our way of life, and they will stop at nothing to do it. Meanwhile, we pussyfoot around with Nifong, when the choice is obvious. Send him to prison, and defend this nation against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

I assume that sentiment applies to Scooter Libby as well, seeing how he's a convicted felon now. Screw the process, put him in prison, right Doug?

It's appalling the disdain the right wing has for traditions of culture and law. It's ridiculous this thirst for blood they have, and it's embarrassing how cowardly they react when confronted with adversity.
