Gorak snubs..

"I hope to live to see the day when, as in the early days of our country, we won't have any public schools. The churches will have taken them over again and Christians will be running them. What a happy day that will be!"
Guess not, eh?

What really sucks is that we're having to listen to people go on and on about what a saint he was. He wasn't anything of the sort. He represented the most vile form of religious extremism short of beheading people. I'm sure if he thought he could get away with it...

/update

AIDS is not just God's punishment for homosexuals; it is God's punishment for the society that tolerates homosexuals.
If there is a Jesus, I'd imagine Jerry is getting a bit of a lesson right now.

If somebody was an asshole in life.. there's really no reason to ignore that when they are dead.

Man I got to get a who's who in the media guide or something. MSN popped up telling me some guy died and I was like... why do I care. I assumed it was some celeb.

Anyway, turns out it was this guy. Who even from your post I couldn't figure out who he was and why you were posting about him.

My daily hit on the news sites put the pieces together for me though.

From the sounds of it this guy was an asshole for a long time, but his relevance has been waning for years. At least that's what I took from the brief article I read about him.

I sorta think I should feel bad at feeling good that somone died...but I just can't bring myself to do so.

Does that make me a bad person? Sociopath maybe?
