Thing is.. Jesus didn't have much to say about it. They rely on the Old Testament for their hatred. However, the OT also commands that people who eat shell fish be beat to death with rocks. I might take the loons a little more seriously if they were consistent.. and beating their disrespectful children to death would help as well.
Jesus may have been ambiguous about sexuality, but one thing he wasn't ambiguous about was wealth. Jesus really hated the wealthy, yet the right wing christian freak parade is all about making money.
Lets review the criteria for eternal salvation, shall we?
Mark 10:17-25
17 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? 18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.I don't know a single christian that follows the words of Jesus. Not a single damn one of them. I suppose there are some monks living someplace without any possessions, but the vast majority of christians are not christians for they defy the direct commandment of their Lord and Savior.
19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother. 20 And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth. 21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
22 And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.
23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! 24 And the disciples were astonished at his words.
But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God! 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
Jesus never said "don't get jiggy with your homo boyfriend". He said "give your shit away you greedy bastards". And the greedy bastards ignore him completely. They are not christians. They are simply immoral, fear based haters, and they don't deserve to have an opinion about the way other people live.

Oh.. and the stupid fuck keeps calling homosexuality a "choice" or a "decision". It's not. It's an inherent trait that cannot be prayed away, any more than you can pray away skin color.

A New York Times analysis shows that the number of earmarks for religious organizations, while small compared with the overall number, have increased sharply in recent years. From 1989 to January 2007, Congress approved almost 900 earmarks for religious groups, totaling more than $318 million, with more than half of them granted in the Congressional session that included the 2004 presidential election. By contrast, the same analysis showed fewer than 60 earmarks for faith-based groups in the Congressional session that covered 1997 and 1998.Need I say more?
No.. but I will anyway.
"Faith based initiatives" violate the Constitution's Establishment Clause, and it truly pisses me off that my tax money is going to the hypocrits. Chimpy is simply paying off his christian base.
I will vote for any politician who promises to do away with this pork barrel spending.

And one of those tiny little inconsistencies that are rampant in the bible..
18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.But I thought Jesus was God? Strange.. you have Jesus saying that he isn't.
Could it be that the fiction that is the New Testament was written by different men who were not exactly on the same page? Ya think?

do Christians really hate gays? Or are they just relaying the articles of their faith in a desire to save the sinners from a fiery hell? Points to ponder.
