My personal goal is to be a very good M developer for another 10 or 15 years and then retire. I'm not sure why that's not a good enough goal, but if I need to do something else.. I'll go with the "improving public speaking skills" plan.

You'd have to know me or have read the blog for a long time to get it..
I get the highest ratings available every single year, and I'm considered one of the top engineers here.
I think the world needs more people that are content with just being the best at what they do.
Or I guess you could aspire to be a manager or some shit and let someone else do the real work....
Keep up the good work Tom. I wish I was setting up to retire at 50... :)
Steve.
Going the managment route is for suckers. It's far more stressful for very little (if any) money. Been there, done that, and I've let go of my ego.
You started a blog.. LOL
g/l with that.. :)
Sure.
Lots of times you write about shit that reminds me of something, and instead of derailing your blog I figured I'd just jot it down over on my own.
We'll see how it goes. I find it hard to keep up on already and I'm only a few days in. :)
Steve.
As Chimpy would say... "bloggins hard werk"
If I could give one piece of advice.. rename the blog before that name sticks. It's just kind of icky.
lol.
The name is what came to mind after the 10 thousandth thing I tried to put into the blogspot address thing.
Everythings fucking taken.
Also the title of all my CS project windows used to say Chaos and Death. Long before there was so much in the world though. Or at least so much caused by us.
You're probably right though. I'll try and come up with something less "icky".
Steve.
Yes, that's better.. he URL and name don't have to be the same..
and happy birthday.
Thanks. I know but I hate being a number. :)
But for now it'll do.
Steve.
