Just kill me

Got home from work.. flipped on MSNBC.. and they're talking about Imus.. One commentator just said "This situation has touched a nerve in this country that we haven't seen since Martin Luther King jr was assasinated."

They are interviewing a black congressman who wants businesses to "hire young women such as these young brilliant kids". He thinks Imus' point of view would be different if his interns were young black women.. as opposed to.. whoever interned on his show..

Now I hear that the Rutgers womens basketball team is going to appear on Oprah. They've got to have their 15 minutes after all.

American culture, and particularly the media, have created Imus. The "black leaders" have basked in yet another white asshole saying something stupid. They don't really want racial harmony. They, and the larger black population, want to be the victims.. always.. because they don't want to take the responsibilty for their own failures. It's easier to blame "the man".

All of these assholes make racism their business.. and business is good. The fact that anybody gives more than a passing thought to anything Imus has to say is disgusting. He should have been fired, and then moved on.. leaving it as nothing more than a sad example of how we view shitheads like him.
