Bring back the draft

Jon Stewart and Bill Moyers have an extensive conversation about politics, here.

I really don't like to boil a complex topic like politics down to "stupid as fuck" versus the rest of us, but there really is no other way to express it. The right wingers can't even begin to fathom how it is that liberals "support the troops". They honestly believe they are patriotic and liberals are traitors, and it's always perplexed me how they can see it that way.

The answer is, as we demonstrate over and over, it's because they are just simply stupid as fuck. They just don't know they are stupid as fuck. It's sad.

So, there's a disconnect there between — you're telling me this is fight of our generation, and you're going to increase troops by 10 percent. And that's gonna do it. I'm sure what he would like to do is send 400,000 more troops there, but he can't, because he doesn't have them. And the way to get that would be to institute a draft. And the minute you do that, suddenly the country's not so damn busy anymore. And then they really fight back, and then the whole thing falls apart. So, they have a really delicate balance to walk between keeping us relatively fearful, but not so fearful that we stop what we're doing and really examine how it is that they've been waging this.
Anyway.. there's much more in the interview. Stewart embarrasses the MSM by asking the questions they are afraid to ask. It's quite an interview.
