I think a lot of it has to do with communication skills. If you read the winger's posts, his command of the language is lacking, and his debating skills are poor. I'm sure it's like getting needeled to death the way I parse his posts, and his reader's comments, and bitch slap them. I've seen it often where the winger finally comes to the point where he's had it with me embaressing him on his own blog and finally decides just to delete everything and ban me.
Why do I do it? It's fun. I love to see them squirm, and I love to destroy their arguments and expose their assertions as nothing but bullshit. And then I like to see them finally freak out and start burning the books, so to speak. It's classic right wing freak tactics.
Mission Accomplished.

Well, not surprising, but Doug has started deleting my comments. Specifically, in this thread, I had asked if I was the "Troll in control" and what "troll" meant anyway. I mentioned nothing at all of Bushwhack, so the deleted comments had nothing to do with him.
I'm not sure what "lesson in manners" I need to learn, when I merely provide a contradictory point of view and fire back when people call me a "dumb sh**" or tell me I have my "head up my a--". Where's the manners in that Doug? I realize you give your "conservative" readers their "rights" first (whatever that means), but I didn't realize that entailed allowing insults in one direction only.
In other threads, I had pointed out his factually inaccurate assertions. For instance, in the "tax thread", he insisted that the wealthiest 2% pay 80% of the federal taxes, and I fact checked it and it turned out that it's the wealthiest 20%, not 2%, and it's 64% and not 80%, at least according to the Congressional Budget Office.
I'm perplexed how that rises to deletion, unless a person wants to keep putting forward factually inaccurate and straw man arguments over and over, without anybody calling them on it.
But it's his blog, he deletes what he wants, and it's not the first time, nor will it be the last that I've encountered this sort of behavior. Doug obviously found me an impediment to salicious, and factually inaccurate posting, and so I will merely move on to the next smallish right wing blog and get under their skin until they flip out and start deleting my comments as well.
And you can all have your "you tell 'em Doug" love fest with no contradictory point of view, other than MK - who does nothing but offer weak whining while at the same time telling Doug how fabbbbbbulous he is.
What a bummer.. I was having fun, and the comments were flying. But then the guy that is fond of quoting Julius Streicher decided to silence dissent - respectfully written, on topic, and without "vulgarities" I might add - just like a follower of the Streicher method would.
And I expect this will get deleted as well. That's how it works in the right wing world. Doug, you should go read your own post about being banned from the left wing blog. Then, look in the mirror.
In the meantime, if anybody wants to continue the argument with me - feel free to blast me on my blog. I won't delete your comments, and I won't moralize about what you say - whatever it is. That is, if you enjoy a good debate rather than just an affirmation of your own point of view.

Tom, your comments about Mudkitty was interesting. I continue to allow her to leave comments on this site, despite her misguided beliefs, because she is respectful, and for the most part attempts to stick with issues. She also doesn't take up two pages of social commentary as you do with your comments. Also, the best way I can explain my sudden decision to begin deleting your problematic comments is that this is my house, and my friends are all invited. But if someone in the house makes my friends uncomfortable, causes some of them to leave, or causes some of them to decide to stop having any conversation, I can do nothing else but show the troublemaker the door. And that troublemaker is you. Your comment about finding another small rightwing blog to comment on fills out the definition of a troll: Trolls exist to disupt a blog. That is their entire reason for being present. When it is no longer fun to shake up a blog, they then go on to the next victim, and wreak havoc there until no longer welcome. This is my house, and you've been shown the door.

It's funny that you claim tom runs from anything that requires work. Because it takes so much work to come over here and blast on Tom. What takes work is researching facts, and making sure that when you claim something to be true it actually is. You should try that out some time.
And lol@tom on welfare. Tom probably makes more in a year than you will in 5. And does real work that helps the veterans of this nation. I don't know you nor do I know what you do for a living. But if you even make a third the difference for this country that Tom does then you're doin alright.
I doubt that's the case though. You sound like a violent, mean, angry person that really has no insight at all.

It's so weird the way he says he's "not threatening anything" and then he is threatening.. something.. He's so incoherent it's hard to tell what he is threatening when he says he'll "have fun" with me, and talks about standing on people's throats.
I'm not hiding. I live in a burb of Dallas (I've posted that on my blog many times), and if you want to come out and have a beer and discuss politics, cool, we can meet up.. However, if you want to get your testosterone rocks off and have some sort of Spartan style wrestling match with me - sorry, but you are not my type.
But to answer Steve's question "why?" it's pretty simple. In every post, they (in this case DG from the blog I linked) makes a straw man argument, or flat out lies. I think the last one was the tax argument. He said that 2% pay 80% of the taxes, and I did the hertical thing and actually looked it up, getting information from the Congressional Budget Office.
Turns out, the top 20% (not 2) paying 63% (not 80) of the federal taxes... and it really irritates the fuck out of them when I point out their lies over and over.
After a while, they took to calling me names.. shithead.. asshole.. you name it. They don't like to be made fools and liars of over and over.. and I simply say, you are invited here, fact check any single thing I post - we can discuss it if you want.
But they won't.. they are so lost in anger and violence that their whole beings are focused on doing nothing but attacking the left. Mind you, it's not the viewpoints of the left they attack, but the movement itself.
The best part.. is that time and again you find they are horrible writers. They can barely speak English, much less write it in any articulate manner. You can read a post or a comment and have no idea what they are talking about.. and then they'll make a claim that I am living off welfare, and as you pointed out.. that's rather not the case.
See - Bushwhack.. you can make any sort of claim here about me that you want. I've written extensively about what I do for a living and so on. I've put everything about me in various posts here over 2+ years. There's nothing you can say other than "fuck you, I'll kick your ass" - and you are quite welcome to write that as much as you want.
But, I can turn around and call you an inarticulate, violent freak, and no one will need look further than your own words to see that.
