A U.S. airstrike Thursday killed 13 insurgents in a volatile area west of Baghdad, the military said. Local officials said 45 civilians, including women and children, died in the attack.

And the teevee is still blaring pretty much nothing but Anna Nicole news... and I still despise them.

If I ran a major network news channel, not many people would watch, but the ones that did would really know what's going on in the world.

And this will be the last I mention her, lest I contribute to what I despise. It's nothing personal against her, it's just that she doesn't rate more sympathy from me just because she was pretty and had huge tits. But, as we know that my theory states that the "newsworthy-ness" of any story is directly proportional to how much most men (read: straight) want to fuck the them, we'll likely be hearing about this one for a long time. The only way it could be a bigger story is if she were 16 instead of 39.
