I'm very odd

I'm sitting at my desk, filling out a deposit slip with 6 live paychecks (that's 3 months worth)... because I'm too lazy to do the process for electronic deposit.

I paid $22,941.79 in federal taxes last year... and that doesn't include local/school tax. The upside is that I have a job and make money.. but 23 grand?

23K is probably more than Dan even *made* last year!

I've had years post graduation where I didn't pull in 23 grand. :(

Even now I don't make much more than that.. :)

I didn't make more than 23 grand until I was something like 24.. but that was a while back.

In any case.. the point was not what I make.. but the rather rediculous amount I pay in taxes... and I know that doesn't even begin to compare to what some other people pay. It just struck me as odd is all.

I'm aware of the point, just putting your gigantic amount of tax paid into perspective. :)

But taxes are good... for the most part... they are part of what allows us to live in the way's we've grown accustomed to... even if it doesn't always seem that way.

I don't make too much more than that either (a bit over 30k). But then again, MT isn't exactly setting the benchmark for high salaries. It's worth living here for other reasons than money, obviously.

I actually logged into WoW the other night on Shandalar's account. I'm not sure if I want to start playing Z again. I know I have nowhere near the time to commit as I used to. I am thinking about helping level Shandalar and just play on that toon when I can. I'm still up in the air, you might see Z back sooner or later.

I can't think of a single one.. unless you have a thing for sheep... not that I'm being judgemental about man/sheep relations.. just, you know, I don't expect you'd be able to take your sheep friend to a world class symphony, etc.

Other reasons:

1. Family
2. Friends
3. Close proximity to beautiful areas

1,342. Sheep relations

-4,983. Living near Telchar.

I hate you all.

And yeah, 23k is rediculous. But, Uncle Sam obviously knows how to spend your money better than you!

And Z is having a Toga Party Tom, he said you are invited!

BTW: I made 15k this last year. That doesn't include tips, of which, according to my records, accnt for another 3.2k

Don't jump the gun, Dan. The toga party is not until April sometime. But if anyone wants to make the trip to Montana they are more than welcome to attend. If you're really lucky, you could see Dan try to have sex with my couch again.

Sorry for highjacking your post, Tom.
