Scott Adams weighs in on the giant Prince penis.

Did you see the Superbowl XLI halftime show? Prince played his special guitar behind a huge flowing sheet so that only his shadow could be seen. Some viewers said that the shadow from his guitar looked like a gigantic penis.

Prince hasn’t commented. Was the penis shadow puppet show intentional?

I sure hope so. I want to live in a world where a rock star wondered, “How can I make a billion people think about my schlong for a few days?” I blame Janet Jackson for raising the bar. Once the network instituted the 10-second delay, Prince had a big obstacle to overcome. He needed to produce some imagery that would make the Superbowl producers all scratch their heads and ask, “Do you see what I see?” until it was too late. And he did.

Frickin’ brilliant.

If Prince did his penis shadow puppet intentionally – and I believe he did – it ranks as one of the all-time great pranks of modern civilization. It also sets the bar much higher for whoever does the next show. My money is on Aerosmith and autoerotic asphyxiation.
