Crises averted

I made it to Phoenix.. but not without some drama.. Here's the sequence..

I head off to the parking service that houses the G while I'm in Phoenix, and miss an exit and it took forever to get back.. The song playing when I finally get there is Don't Stop Believing from journey.

So, I get to the airport with plenty of time.. have some lunch.. buy the new issue of Time Magazine; the Person of the Year edition. The winner, by the way, was me. Yay me!

The flight is about 10 minutes late leaving and finally my group is called. I start up the jetway and stick my hand in my pocket and something doesn't feel right. No - pervs.. that's still okay. I realize in an instant that my phone is not there... OMG!

I headed back out, told the guy taking the tickets that I need to find my phone and head back to where I was sitting. It's not there.. not on the seat.. not on the table next to it.. but somehow.. it's under the chair pushed a ways back. Whew.. lucked out. That would have royally sucked like suckage had never existed until that point if I had lost my phone.

The plane takes off.. unfortunately (again) no hottie sitting next to me.. just some early 20's heroin waif.. and I read the magazine. Those bastards from youtube suck by the way.. 1.3 billion in cash in just a couple of years. Seriously.. they suck.

I got to Phoenix, and they've got a new rental car center. It's pretty cool. Shuttles take you to this big building that has all the rental car companies in it.. no long wait.. get the car.. I'm off.. First song on the radio.. Don't Stop Believing.. (must be some kind of message).. traffic isn't bad, and voila.. I have arrived.

End result.. no catastrophes.

I miss Phoenix. If I was there the first place I would hit would be O'Connors, right off the interstate (I-17? Fuck, dont remember the interstate there any more) and Dunlap. But that's just me. Have a good holiday!
