Forgot to bring the card reader so no pics from my digital camera until I get home.. just my phone.. That's the view from the hotel room..
So.. weird trip so far.. We were on our way to Pearl Harbor Sunday morning when the earthquake hit.. power went out, and didn't come back on until around 10 at night. It kind of screwed up the day.. We didn't feel it since we were on a bus, but apparently it was a rather big deal..
Today we did a helicopter tour of Oahu, and spent the afternoon taking a spa.. which is amazing.. and then had a good dinner. Doing much to excess so far.. and leaving for Maui tomorrow. Not much planned so maybe I'll write more about the trip so far..
Japanese people all over the place.. the young ones all have Captain Kirk sideburns..

Glad you're well and glad things are going good in Hawaii, I heard about the quake and couldn't believe your luck. I was hoping we'd hear from you before your return so that we knew you were safe and all, even though it didn't sound like the quake caused much structural damage or claimed any lives. (not sure if this is still true)
Anyway, keep on keepin on, you have that cocktail on the beach for me yet?
