What's the matter with America?

Among those who believe that Saddam Hussein was personally involved in 9/11:

57% No high school degree
54% High school graduate
39% Some college
26% College graduate
19% Post graduate

Of course Hussein had nothing to do with 9/11, but the Republicans have pushed that message for 5 years.. those that buy it are stupid, and demonstrably so.. and I suspect that the same percentages track with support for Bush and the Republican party in general.

In other words, Americans are too stupid to elect a government because they consistently vote against their best interest when they have zero clue what the fuck is going on. The only reason the Democrats have a chance this fall is because the Republicans are such a monumental failure that even the stupid people are starting to get it.

My solution to the problem would be to weight the voting process. You go into the booth.. take a quick (say 10 minute) IQ test, then weight your vote accordingly. With that system, my vote would be able to negate, say 5 of those nutjobs over at the Rightwing140IQguy's blog.
