TV

We all know I think the movie industry has been sucking horribly.. but television is actually pretty good.

What I'm watching;

Weeds - quirky showtime show about a suburban mom selling pot. It's got Kevin Nealon who's just funny as shit.

The Office - just really god damn funny.. plus Kevin in the show looks kinda like John.

My Name is Earl - While Weeds has some depressing elements to it, and The Office sometimes makes me cringe, Earl is just straight up silly comedy. The actress that plays Joy is brilliant.

E.R. - ya.. it's old and stale, but I still watch it. It's kind of like a soap opera I guess. I used to be addicted to General Hospital when I was in college, even scheduling classes around it. E.R. is kind of like that.

Boston Legal - Captain Kirk rules. I also like James Spader a lot. The Alan Shore character is just one of the best ever written for t.v. Somehow he makes being pasty and pale cool.. plus I dig the way he dresses.

The Sopranos - currently out of season, but I do watch it religiously. The last season kind of sucked though.

New shows..

Okay.. umm.. one that I heard was good and had John record to watch later is Heros. I guess it's like an X-Men type of deal.

Also - I heard this morning that there's a new Doctor Who starting this friday on the Sci-fi channel. I watched Dr. Who constantly when I was a kid. Supposedly the new ones are going to be really good. John, I guess there's two episodes this Friday, please set the PvR.. one's a Christmas special or something from last year, and then the new season with an all new Doctor.

I think I might have set the PvR to record a couple other shows, but can't remember off the top of my head. Oh.. and I put the entire Battlestar Gallactica DVD set in my netflix queue. I heard it's good, so I'll give that a try.

Digital HD recorders and big DLP HD televisions are awesome... plus all the shows I like are broadcast in HD. And a couple years ago I bought this outragous Boston Acoustics speaker setup for John that just rocks the house.. I'm not kidding.. the subwoofer is so powerful that it shakes the entire god damn house. The sound is better than the best movie theatre.

I just started watching Battlestar Gallactica after hearing good things from all my friends. Watched about 3 hours last night...and I think I am hooked.

Another great show was Deadwood. I am still pissed that this was the last season (although there are two two-hour specials still upcoming). If you run out of stuff to Netflix, I'd recommend giving Deadwood a shot if you haven't already seen it.

You have got to watch Two and a Half Men. My god, It's like watching Charlie Sheen's life being played out in prime time. I LMFAO. Old Christine is pretty good also, although I'm not a huge Louise Dryfus fan. And I am a huge fan of Medium and ER. That's about all I ever get to watch.

LOST is a much watch, as is scrubs. I've recently been sucked in by the office and my name is earl also.

Heros was good last night, for the most part, I'll give it a few more weeks to see where it goes.

I think that's about it on the list of shows that I attempt to watch every week.

Countdown with KO is always good and I just found out it replays at 9 which is far easier for me to catch than 5 so I may be getting in more of those.

Steve.
