Federal officials say the information implicating Hastert was developed from convicted lobbyists who are now cooperating with the government....

House Speaker Dennis Hastert is the No.1 individual recipient of money from Abramoff and his clients, with a total of $68,300 contributed to his campaign committee and leadership PAC from 1998 to 2004.

What the fuck is it with these people? Don't they know that they'll get caught? Seriously.. they are old, and will likely die in prison.. for what? A couple hundred grand? Yet more millionaire morons convicted and going to prison;

HOUSTON - Former Enron Corp. chiefs Kenneth Lay and Jeffrey Skilling were convicted Thursday of conspiracy to commit securities and wire fraud in one of the biggest business scandals in U.S. history.

The odd thing is that they are not going to be sentenced until next September. Why the long delay? Why not take them to the prison now? They are going to spend many years in prison, and likely die there anyway.

If I were either of them, I'd run. Get as much cash as possible and head for South America. It's either that or die in jail.
