John Podhoretz has a tasty little bit here, about the seeming contradiction between what Scott McClellan said to the press before Scooter was indicted, and reality.
The funny part is, when deciding which should go, liar Karl, or lied to Scotty, JPod thinks it should be Scotty. Not surprising when you consider the right wing tendency to be very pragmatic.
Sully keeps asking when somebody is going to question Cheney about all this. It's a valid question. Cheney is involved, and his response is not to lie about it, but rather he just doesn't talk about it.
The really great thing, of course, is that the press hates being ignored, and I expect the silence will only piss them off. There's got to be a number of press thugs in D.C. that want to be the next Woodward and Bernstein.
What has Matt Cooper got to do with this? Really not much... but like that matters.
By the way.. a while back I saw that Podhoretz was coming to Dallas for some speaking engagement. I wrote him and asked if he wanted a date while he was here, just because I thought it was funny. He actually wrote back, and his response was so silly I can't even post it here. Clearly he lacks a sense of humor.
