I don't know..

So the 2000 "milestone" has been reached. It's quite sad really. I still sit in my cushy office while some other poor sod gets his brains blown all over the desert sand.

Quite a fucked up world we live in, eh?

The "cartoon" was drawn by political writer Mike Luckovich of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. It took him 13 hours to draw it. They have a comment section and I read through a few of them.

Here's a typical one..

Why? To prevent another 9/11 (no, I do not believe that Saddam was reponsible for 9/11, but given the chance, he would have made an attack of his own). To rid the world of one more despot that had been murdering his own people for decades. Because the sanctions weren't working (hence the oil-for-food scandal that is brewing right now.) Because Saddam had developed WMDs in the past, had used WMDs on his own people (the Kurds), and the evidence suggested that he was still making them (a conclusion that was/is supported by every intelligence agency on the planet, including Russia, Germany, and France).
If you accept, for a moment, that everything he says is true, is it still a valid justification for a pre-emptive war?

The only reason I ask is because if you say yes, then you advocate eternal war because there is a long list of other nations that will need to be invaded.

But, if you critically look at the argument, it makes no sense. There is not a single shred of justification.

And the last point I will make. It is quite easy for blow-hards to make comments like that. He's still alive, living in the United States, and typing on a computer. Apparently he's not willing to die for the Iraqi people's freedom.

Those that ask other people to do it for them are the highest order of cowards, and the lowest form of scum...

And yes.. that means you Oxen..
