ONTARIO, Calif. - A 14-year-old student was expelled from a Christian school because her parents are lesbians, the school's superintendent said in a letter.First of all, the parents are nuts for sending their kid to bat-shit crazy school in the first place. The kid is better off in a regular private school, or a public school. It's a good thing that they are getting the message that Christians hate them.
Shay Clark was expelled from Ontario Christian School on Thursday.
"Your family does not meet the policies of admission," Superintendent Leonard Stob wrote to Tina Clark, the girl's biological mother.
[...]
Clark and her partner have been together 22 years and have two other daughters, ages 9 and 19.
But those "Christian" families do not meet my policies of compassion. I really despise them.
I wish people would stop making excuses for these Christian organizations. I remember the advertisement that the cable channels wouldn't air for the Christian church that "welcomed" everyone, regardless of race and sexual orientation and so on. That's just a nice version of the same craziness. It's like Jews searching for "nice" Nazi's that wouldn't try and destroy them.
If it's organized, it's bat-shit crazy, and it's a cult. Period.
From Sullivan, I noticed this post.
This is a picture of Father Mychal Judge, the pastor for New York City's fire-fighters, an openly gay priest who died with those he served in the ashes of the World Trade Center. According to the new Pope, he should never have been ordained.Really, why are the Catholics doing this, when a vast number of their own organization is gay? It is exactly the same reason that Karl Rove pushed the anti-gay agenda in the last two Presidential elections. It's why they pushed the Federal Marriage Amendment. It's because hate sells to Americans. The Catholic church knows this, just as Karl Rove knew that George Bush really had no chance on substance or policy. The Catholic's saw how it worked for Bush, and they are appealing to their own base, just the same as Bush did.
If you tried to push that kind of shit in a European country, they would laugh at you. If you tried to push that kind of shit in Canada, they'd tell you to fuck off.
In the United States, our population is very self-loathing, which causes lashing out at other innocent people.
I think I'm going to post here a quote from a comment left in my blog the other day. If you haven't read it, my full response is here:
First things first. Not all Christians agree with Bush. Me for one and almost every member of my family think's he is an absolute MORON. Second, you claim to be an intellectual yet you swear and bash the Christian faith instead of keeping your cool and addressing the issue in an intelligent manner. I don't impose my beliefs on anyone else nor do I bash those who don't accept my beliefs. Besides, swearing just makes you sound completely ignorant. So before you go rambling at the mouth again make sure you get your facts straight. I would make comments on how a "Man" almost 40 years old plays RPG's but it's not my place to. Think about it.I point this out only to explain my swearing and bashing Christians, not keeping my cool, or "addressing the issue in an intelligent manner".
Does anyone think that what the Christians are doing is deserving of nice language, or keeping one's "cool"? Hell no. I'm not going to ask those sick fuckers that would kick a kid out of school like that to please be nice. It is WAY beyond having a civil conversation. They declared a war on millions of Americans, and this fag isn't going to lie down and get run over by the Christian freak freight train.
Not me.. Look at that dead man who gave his life. He did it for those he cared about, but the organization he belonged to doesn't care about him. They wouldn't even want him if he were alive now. Anyone who continues to participate is a fool.
Not surprisingly, the original poster never commented on my response. Indefensible. But, through education and sound reasoning and economic improvements, we can work to end organized religion's hold on people. Many people having nothing BUT organized religion. They are exploited. Once people are healthy, happy, and economically sound, they won't need organized religion, and the world will be much better off for it.
** update **
Interesting opinion here, where they call for the outing of senior gay Catholics. I definately support that.
There is also the implcation that the current Pope is gay. That would suprise no one I'm sure.
