Young Republicans

When asked why he didn’t volunteer to fight in Iraq, which Dubya describes as “the central front in the War on Terror,” Paul Gourley said he felt compelled to stay stateside and fight in the “war of ideas.” Looks to me like he's well on his way to a DUI like Dubya and Uncle Dick.
I get it now... I had been wondering why the "young Republicans" were staying out of the military in droves, considering they they "support the troops" and want to "take the fight to the enemy" and all that.

I think they've seen Platoon too many times. You remember the character named Gardner? That probably struck a nerve with them....

I've been spending some time noticing the differences between liberals and conservatives, including the way they blog. Have you noticed another difference? Most liberal bloggers have pictures of themselves, and reveal their names, and other background info. Heck, I've seen plenty of pictures of Markos, Duncan Black (Atrios), John Aravosis, and so on and so forth.

It's just not easy to find the pictures and bio's on the wingers. The only thing we know about our favorite freeper is that he's 27, lives in Florida, works as a draftsman, and has done something bad that prevents him from enlisting in the military and killing Muslims.

I wonder why conservatives are like that? Is it because they are ashamed of their lives? That would be in keeping with the Cornell study, wouldn't it? If they are truly proud of what they believe, why do they hide? Are they afraid that Abdul is going to track them down because of their blog posts?
