Success story
Watching CNN (the communist news network?) and they were doing a long and detailed story on an Iraqi businessman that is helping with construction in Sadr City.
He started with 5 employees and a $500 contract a few weeks after the fall of Baghdad, and now has 2000 employees and multi-million dollar contracts.
This is exactly why we need to stay in Iraq, now that we've broke it. Halliburton doesn't need multi-billion dollar no-bid contracts. Honest Iraqi business needs contracts so they can employ Iraqis and keep them from feeling useless and falling under the control of the radicals.
Something he said struck me.. "Jihad is not blowing up innocent people. Jihad is working 10 or 12 hours in the hot sun, and being proud of what you have done."
CNN also interviewed some of the grunt employees.. they were going on and on about "what an honor it is to work for Sadr city".
