Quote of the Day

Life in the oceans must be sheer hell. A vast, merciless hell of permanent and immediate danger. So much of hell that during evolution some species - -including man -- crawled, fled onto some small continent of solid land, where the Lessons of Darkness continue. - Werner Herzog
Cheery fellow, eh? I've never thought of what it must be like to be a fish. I'm not talking about a dolphin that seems to have a fairly pleasent existence, assuming it stays out of a drift net. I'm talking - um.. one of those small fish that swim around in a group of other fish, existing each moment to moment in sole purpose not to be eaten by a bigger fish.
