Iraqi Women

You remember how Bush trotted out Iraqi women with blue fingers, as if Iraqi women are entering a new era of freedom? On of them is a tad pissed that Iraq is becoming an Islamic theocracy.

"When we came back from exile, we thought we were going to improve rights and the position of women," she said. "But look what has happened -- we have lost all the gains we made over the last 30 years. It's a big disappointment." - Safia Taleb al-Suhail
Bush used her at the State of the Union Address last year.

So, tell me, what do you do with a President who lies a great nation into a war costing billions, that kills thousands, and ends up with a political climate worse then what it had?

Was Saddam Hussein a bad guy? Yep. Did he murder a lot of people? No doubt. Was Iraq a secular nation free of terrorists? Check. Did Iraqi women have the most progressive set of rights in the middle east? Probably.

Was it the United States obligation to change the government of Iraq? No way..
