I don't like 'em on the left either

It seems Al Sharpton is heading out to Bush Country. He's going to be joining the pot-smoking beatnicks in Crawford.

I'm actually getting rather irritated by the whole thing. Cindy Sheehan is a nice lady, but she's all over the map, and not a very good spokesman for the anti-war movement. Then again, she's not a politician. We can all make fun of George Bush for being a fucktard when trying to speak the English language, but Cindy is not in the profession of being eloquent.

But she shouldn't be "the face" of the left point of view. Nobody should.

The philosophy should stand on it's own, without any help from any individual person. It's a collective ideology, and I really don't see how this is doing us a whole lot of good.

So, now Sharpton is heading down there. Al Sharpton is a serious piece of work, and if you want to hang the label "racist" on somebody, he's a good one to start with. He and Jesse Jackson both are nothing but bat-shit crazy religious freaks who are in the business of promoting their own cause by using the pain and suffering of others.

Why can't intellectuals have dynamic and charismatic personalities? I've seen Paul Krugman on various talk shows. He's brilliant, but oh lordy would he be completely incapable of inspiring a crowd.

Really, the closest we've come to having an intellectual with charisma is Bill Clinton - and I sure wish he could run for President again. He can't even run as Vice President.
