Auntie 'Em, Auntie 'Em

It's a crazy fucker.. it's a crazy fucker!

Americablog commented on the story I mentioned yesterday about the Kansas board of education dumbing down their kids. They got a sneak peek at some exam questions in the new curriculum.

Question: What does DNA stand for?
Answer: God.

Question: What is 21 divided by 7?
Answer: God.

Question: Which came first, the Constitution or the Declaration of Independence?
Answer: The Bible.

This nice thing about this is that it won't be very likely that young people from Kansas will be challenging me for my job when I'm in my 50's. If you try and write hard core computer code, and you're stumped, coding "GOD" won't miraculously cause the computer to run flawlessly and a billion times faster. It will result in a syntax error. Computers don't understand the concept of "belief".

The bad news is that the supremacy that the United States enjoys today is due, in large part, to innovation and inventions from very smart people. In the future, that may not be the case, unless we stop the Christians.

Now, this isn't to say that smart people are somehow more worthwhile than average people. The issue is the intentional dumbing down of our educational system in order to brainwash yet another generation into participation in the evil religious machinery. The educational system should provide the tools to allow every student to achieve to their capability, and not confuse the intellect with dogma. That's what college is for.

I just heard from Gorak, and he says we should ridicule them for being so gullible.

Gorak be with you.
And also with you.

Tom,
Did you catch Bill Maher on Larry King?

Caller: What would you do if God spoke to you?

Maher: I'd check myself into Bellevue..."
