White House deputy chief of staff Karl Rove did not disclose that he had ever discussed CIA officer Valerie Plame with Time magazine reporter Matthew Cooper during Rove’s first interview with the FBI, according to legal sources with firsthand knowledge of the matter.Interesting.. hmmm...
The omission by Rove created doubt for federal investigators, almost from the inception of their criminal probe into who leaked Plame's name to columnist Robert Novak, as to whether Rove was withholding crucial information from them, and perhaps even misleading or lying to them, the sources said.
Would that be considered obstruction? If Rove had nothing to hide, why not tell the F.B.I. that he was the leaker? But what the article doesn't explain is if Rove merely didn't say "it was me" or if he actually said "it wasn't me". There is a big difference I think.
In either case, I would imagine that the F.B.I. recorded their interview with Rove, so we'll find out soon enough.
Enough Rove... how about we post some pictures of Matt Cooper? Don't ask me why.. seriously, don't ask.. lol
