Underpass Mary

A few weeks back I posted a story about some guy selling a piece of wood with the image of Mary on it.. or something like that. Anyway, the idea was that you could make some money by creating these valuable religious artifacts yourself and selling them.

Did anybody take me seriously and give it a go? It sure looks like it.

CHICAGO - A steady stream of the faithful and the curious, many carrying flowers and candles, have flocked to an expressway underpass for a view of a yellow and white stain on a concrete wall that some believe is an image of the Virgin Mary.

"We believe it's a miracle," said Elbia Tello, 42. "We have faith, and we can see her face."

Tello then added, "The space aliens told me that Mary would visit me and they put a probe in my butt so the blessed Virign would know where to find me."

Okay.. I made that last part up. But the story is very amusing. Remember, keep an eye out when you're driving around, or looking at ordinary household objects. If you're going to create your own blessed virgin to sell, it's gotta look authentic. If one person gets caught cheating, it'll ruin it for everyone else.
