Quote of the Day

Gibson, whose films include the "Mad Max" trilogy, "Braveheart," "The Patriot," and the "Lethal Weapon" series, acknowledges Schiavo has "some brain damage," but adds "she's not a vegetable," noting the debate over whether or not she's in a persistent vegetative state is not resolved.
Now I understand why being a bat-shit-crazy Christian freak is so great. You can make a medical diagnosis without either attending medical school, or examining the patient! I mean, the crazy people have been doing it the last several weeks, including members of Congress!

After all, Mel Gibson does know a thing or two about brain damage, right?

You know the really great thing about the the way they do that? That means I'm entirely justified in my professional medical opinion that they are certifiably insane, just from having seem them on t.v.! I'm going to do some research on the internet to find the right medication for Mel. I'm thinking Thorazine. That should do the trick. I think Haldol for Mr. DeLay.

** Update **

Coz it doesn't deserve it's own post.. but the cable and network news media has been going crazy about the Pope deathwatch today. Thank GOD that he didn't die on Easter. That's all we would need. But holy cow, is there nothing else going on in the world? There are 6 billion people on the planet, and an all out war going on in the Middle East - and all these dipshits can report on all day long is a couple of people reaching the ends of their lives and dying.

It just doesn't get more absurd..

So.. Mr. Pope dude.. I really despised you, what you stood for, and what your church does.. but I hope you find what you're looking for too. If you can, and you want to apologize for all the raped children, and all the homophobia, and all the HIV lies in Africa, and all the anti-Semetism, and all the war crimes, and the crusades.. Just send us a signal, something we know couldn't happen naturally on it's own..

Like - maybe all of a sudden George Bush having a brain.

I know what kinda drugs they should try...

How 'bout they start with some sodium thiopental, follow with some pancuronium bromide, a give a nice potassium chloride chaser?

Oh, never mind. Those "defenders of life" only like to give those drugs to folks on death row.

Logic is a wascally wabbit.. It's an elusive beast..

I've thought about the crazy people's penchant for executing people (including minors), and how that seemingly contradicts with the "culture of life".

To the crazy people, there are no shades of gray. Everything is black and white. They see like dogs.

Consequently, there is good and there is bad. They want to save good, and they want to kill bad.

Me Tarzan. You Jane...

Cheeta.. cheeta.. Ungowaa!

I always wonder how the "Christians" would answer this question: Do you think Jesus is in favor of capital punishment?
