It's been noted many places and by many people that the 101st Fighting Keboardists, also know as the freeper crowd, seem to ignore every single issue that doesn't paint their glorious leader in a positive light. Americans die because of him, and they don't say a word. I find that truly bizarre.

Marines, on the whole, tend to be a very stoic bunch. They suck it up and get the job done. Indeed they are some of the finest in this country. That's why when they bitch, you better listen, because marines just do not bitch and moan.

I guess they just don't like seeing their brothers in arms die because of the inept leadership of this country.

From the Times today:

On May 29, 2004, a station wagon that Iraqi insurgents had packed with C-4 explosives blew up on a highway in Ramadi, killing four American marines who died for lack of a few inches of steel.

The four were returning to camp in an unarmored Humvee that their unit had rigged with scrap metal, but the makeshift shields rose only as high as their shoulders, photographs of the Humvee show, and the shrapnel from the bomb shot over the top.

"The steel was not high enough," said Staff Sgt. Jose S. Valerio, their motor transport chief, who along with the unit's commanding officers said the men would have lived had their vehicle been properly armored. "Most of the shrapnel wounds were to their heads."

Among those killed were Rafael Reynosa, a 28-year-old lance corporal from Santa Ana, Calif., whose wife was expecting twins, and Cody S. Calavan, a 19-year-old private first class from Lake Stevens, Wash., who had the Marine Corps motto, Semper Fidelis, tattooed across his back.

They were not the only losses for Company E during its six-month stint last year in Ramadi. In all, more than one-third of the unit's 185 troops were killed or wounded, the highest casualty rate of any company in the war, Marine Corps officials say.

In returning home, the leaders and Marine infantrymen have chosen to break an institutional code of silence and tell their story, one they say was punctuated not only by a lack of armor, but also by a shortage of men and planning that further hampered their efforts in battle, destroyed morale and ruined the careers of some of their fiercest warriors.

Two points. How is it, in this day and age, that these soldiers do not have the basic supplies they need this much time after the invasion of Iraq? How is it that 4 Americans died for lack of some armor? How is it that I see all these yellow ribbon stickers on the back of every fucking SUV, yet the people driving them don't know what the hell is going on? How is it the most powerful and wealthy nation on the planet cannot supply it's own military?

In a word. George Bush happens. The buck stops with the President. How on earth does he not stop everything he is doing and start screaming at Congress to get this situation resolved?

Total lack of leadership. Total lack or priorities. Total lack of integrity.

Is that not the most un-American thing you can think of? A President lies us into a war, the prosecution of which has been bungled time and again by the civilian leadership. The military is doing it's level best, but they need money and supplies. It's not a new issue. I can remember the issue of armor going back to over a year ago.

I'm reminded of the FDR program I watched yesterday. During WWII the entire country stopped what it was doing and every person did their part. In this new war, nothing changes for the civilians. After all, if the Iraq war impacted -our- lives, then maybe we might stop and examine it and we can't have that. Oh no..

So today we have soldiers dying in Iraq needlessly. The American public goes about their 9 to 5 existence. Meanwhile, this President and Republican controlled Congress bungles the prosecution of the war and good men and women die as a result.

And scumbags like the freepers excuse it. Nary a word is said. They just go right on screaming at the top of their lungs about the evils of Islam and how we need to destroy all the brown people.

If they could blame a Democrat, you know there would be hell to pay. Imagine Clinton were President right now, and we hear from marines that men are dying because of a lack of equipment. Just imagine how those fuckers would call for Clinton's head on a platter.

God I hate them...

Ohhh.. he's going on about the judicial nomination filibuster again, and claiming that Joe Biden "lied" in 1997.... waaaaa.. waaaaa.. Glorius leader only gets 95% of his nominations.. waaaaaa

He also posts a cartoon claiming democrats have no alternative agenda.. Which.. you know.. is factually untrue, but lying has never been a concern to them. The Democrat's agenda here is to keep the top 5% of the relgious freak, bad for this nation, judicial nominees off the bench. Can that be any clearer?
